All of our teachers and assistants are required to participate in an intense three-day training retreat in May. The training is hosted in a location in the California foothills - a short fifteen minute drive from the TCR headquarters. Participants in the training are provided with a copy of the TCR textbook and Teacher Handbook and given lectures and workshops on Chinese culture, TCR teaching methods, and team building strategies.

VISA APPLICATIONS
Our teachers apply for a 30-days VISA as a group during the training weekend. It is important that each teacher come prepared with their passport, additional passport photo for the VISA and the VISA application filled out. An application is supplied in the preparation manual that is mailed out to each teacher at the end of March along with instructions about how to fill it out.
