TCR not only has given me an opportunity
to travel AND help others but their training and resources
are so top-notch that even previously inexperienced participants
can feel confident and well prepared.

When I joined TCR for their 2006 trip to China, I had
never taught English as a second language before. Prior to
leaving I received ample instruction on the workings of a
Chinese classroom environment. I also had veteran teachers
at my side every step of the way. They were always ready
and willing to help and answer any questions I had.
The transition was very pleasant and joyful, thanks in part
to the preparation, but also to the wonderful students who
welcomed us with open arms. Their eagerness to learn from
us and about us was only equaled by their ability to make
life-long friends in a matter of weeks. In fact, to this
day I'm in regular contact with five of my Chinese students
via email.
If it's possible for me to join TCR again in the future
I will jump at the chance. It was an experience that will
stay with me for the rest of my life!
